This is Christmas bingo cards, 5 by 5, 12 cards, 2 to a sheet: 24 squares a card with the middle one free, 6 sheets, and 7 pages in the file counting the caller’s sheet at the back. The card is 186 by 128.3 mm and each square is 37.2 by 23.85 mm, which sets the words at 15.33 pt.

What is on the list

Thirty-six things you can point at in December: sleigh, tinsel, holly, wreath, carols, mistletoe, a stocking, a chimney, a paper hat, sprouts. Nothing on it is a brand and nothing is a named character. That is partly a legal line and partly a better list, a card naming one film is useless to a player who has not seen it, and a card naming sprouts works on anybody.

Thirty-six words for 24 squares means 1,251,677,700 different cards are possible, so twelve of them are twelve genuinely different cards and there is no chance of two matching. Type your own words into the box if you would rather: they are used in this page and go nowhere else.

Playing it

The last page is the caller’s sheet with all 36 words on it. Call them in any order, crossing each off as you go. A line is five in a row; a full house is all 24 squares. The middle square is free, which is why a five-by-five card fills 24 rather than 25, it also means every card starts one square closer to a full house than it looks.
