A hundred bingo cards

A hundred different cards in one file, four to a sheet, with a caller's sheet at the back. Twenty-six pages and a third of a megabyte.

The set on this page

Christmas bingo cards, 5 by 5, 100 cards, 4 to a sheet: 25 sheets and 26 pages counting the caller’s sheet. At four to a sheet the card is 89 by 111.3 mm, a square is 17.8 by 20.47 mm, and the words set at 7.33 pt. The file is 334,732 bytes, which is by far the largest on this site and is simply what a hundred cards costs.

A hundred DIFFERENT cards

This is the page where the arithmetic stops being academic. A hundred cards from a list of 36 words is comfortable, there are 1,251,677,700 possible cards, so a hundred distinct ones is not a demanding ask. A hundred cards from a list of 30 words would also work. A hundred from a list of 25 would not: 25 words on a 24-square card make exactly 25 possible cards, and the press will tell you that rather than printing 75 repeats.

Every card is checked against every card already dealt, and two cards holding the same words in a different arrangement count as the same card.

Before you print twenty-five sheets

Count the players first. The count control goes from 1 to 120 and most rooms need fewer than a hundred. If you do want a hundred, four to a sheet is the sensible setting: at two to a sheet it is twice the paper, and the words at 7.33 pt are still legible on a card held in the hand, which is how these are played.

Reprinting one of them

The shuffle number in the controls deals the same hundred cards every time. If card 63 goes missing you can come back, set the same number, and the hundred are dealt identically, so card 63 is card 63 again.
